Ogni stagione ha i suoi fiori e per il bouquet la scelta migliore sarebbe proprio seguirne la stagionalità; tuttavia spesso la scelta viene subordinata allo stile dell’abito o al fil rouge dell’evento, e anche se il bon ton lo vorrebbe slegato dall’allestimento del ricevimento, spesso anche questo aspetto può condizionare la scelta di fiori e colori.

Tuttavia, negli ultimi anni si è aggiunta una nuova tendenza: le spose più poetiche e romantiche, spesso scelgono i fiori del proprio bouquet in base al loro significato.

Avete mai letto il libro “Il linguaggio segreto dei fiori “ di Vanessa Diffenbaugh ? Io lo trovo uno dei romanzi contemporanei più romantici, eleganti, raffinati e ricchi di pathos. La protagonista vive di fiori e parla al mondo attraverso di loro. Ogni fiore porta un messaggio e può parlare di amore, di amicizia, di ricordi, di sogni. La tradizione che ha portato fino a noi i messaggi segreti dei fiori nasce nei romanzi medievali dell’amor cortese: non so immaginare un inizio più romantico!

E allora perché non delegare al bouquet la descrizione di un messaggio, di una speranza, di un augurio per la nuova vita a due?

Chi sceglie le rose parla di amore felice, di passione, di grazia e seduzione.

Every season has its flowers and for the brides’ bouquet it would be great to follow the seasons: however often the choice is subject to the style of the wedding dress or the  leitmotiv of the event even though the bon ton prefers it to be different  to the setting of the reception. This often influences the choice of the flowers and the colours.
In the past years however there is a new trend: the most romantic and poetic brides choose the flowers of the bouquet  on the basis of their meaning.
Have you ever read Vanessa Diffenbaugh’s book ” The secret language of flowers”? I find that it is one of the most romantic, elegant and refined contemporary books, rich of pathos too. The main character of the story lives with flowers and speaks to the world through them. Every flower brings a message and can speak of love, friendship, memories and dreams. The tradition that brought to us the secret message of flowers arrives way back in medieval  novels of courtly love: I cannot imagine a more romantic start!
Therefore why not use the bouquet for a description of a message, of hope or of greetings for the new life of the couple?
