Oggi vi parlerò della acconciatura da sposa… Un aspetto fondamentale per l’immagine della donna nel grande giorno.
Pensate che i capelli lunghi e fluenti erano già piuttosto di moda nel 1800 tra le donne, che raramente si tagliavano i capelli perché le trecce lunghe erano considerate un elemento di femminilità. Nel XIX° secolo le donne utilizzavano uno stile semplice che non necessitava di ferri arriccia capelli, bigodini caldi e phon (che comunque non esisteva all’epoca). Gli stili erano piuttosto semplici e le giovani donne portavano i capelli legati in lunghe trecce o lunghi boccoli riccioluti. Le trecce alla francese, gli chignon e le trecce rigirate intorno al capo erano acconciature utilizzate dalle donne mature. All’epoca si usavano pettini, spazzole e bigodini di pezza per mettere in piega i capelli e cera, unguenti e lozioni per fissarli.

You have to know that long and fluent hair was already fashionable in the 1800’s, and women rarely cut their hair because long plaits were considered an important element of femininity. In the nineteenth century women used a simple style that wasn’t created with curling irons, hot rollers or hairdryer (that never even existed in those times). The hair styles were very simple and the young women wore their long hair in long plaits or long curls. The French curls, high buns and plaits turned round high on the head, were the hairstyles used by mature women. At those times small combs, hair brushes and rag rollers were used to set the hairstyle, and wax, oils and lotions to fix them.
Nella preparazione del matrimonio ancora oggi la sposa controlla ogni singolo dettaglio con amore e cura. Il luogo, i fiori, il dolce e l’abito sono selezionati molto attentamente. La stessa attenzione è riservata all’acconciatura. Le acconciature vintage aggiungono un certo non so che di bellezza, glamour ed eleganza alla già splendida sposa.
Oggi le acconciature a disposizione sono le più svariate e possono rappresentare uno stile completamente diverso l’uno dall’altro… ciò che conta è che facciano da cornice al viso della sposa, per renderla in un giorno così importante ancora più bella.
