La tradizione del bouquet risale a molti secoli fa, al tempo degli Egizi, che per primi introdussero l’usanza di consegnare alla sposa un mazzo di fiori che simboleggiasse la sua purezza e che tenesse lontani gli spiriti maligni.
La tradizione ancora oggi vuole che il futuro sposo faccia recapitare alla sua amata un mazzo di fiori la mattina delle nozze, come ultimo regalo da fidanzati e come simbolo dell’inizio di una nuova vita insieme. Ma anche se il bouquet è un regalo dello sposo (o in alcuni paesi della futura suocera) è la sposa a sceglierne forma, colore, materiale, dimensione, se sarà a sfera, a cascata o addirittura a borsetta.
Negli ultimi anni le spose più originali hanno abbandonato l’idea del classico mazzo di fiori in tema con l’abito o con lo stile dell’evento e hanno dato libero sfogo alla fantasia esibendo bouquet di materiali, forme e colori assolutamente non convenzionali.
